Snow Fun | Personal Lifestyle Photography

Just in case you didn't know, most of the east coast of the UK woke up to snow and lots of it!

We dont get to see much snow where we are so it's been like Christmas Day here! The girls have been out nearly all day and Suki, our Springer Spaniel has been in heaven!

I am headed down to Brighton first thing tomorrow morning to attend a Melissa Love photographers workshop. The theme is Burlesque and is being held at the Brighton Ballroom. I cannot wait!

Merry Christmas

Wow, its been an amazing 8 months in business, and I am so thankful to all my amazing clients, the wonderful people I have met this year. I cannot wait for what 2012 holds for me and Anna Bowkis Photography.

I will be spending the next week with my family capturing our holiday memories, I urge you to grab your camera too and capture those precious memories also. Don't worry about the perfcet exposure and composition, just snap those smiles.

Mr Movember

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

Did the men in your life join in with Movember?

Happy Halloween | Personal Photography

Happy halloween to you all!!!

Here in the UK Halloween is not such a big thing, which is a realy shame and not much effort is made. We do our little bit here in our small village, and the kids know where to come for treats LOL.

The weather here has been the usual dark and gloomy day so taking photos is a real nightmare. But photos were taken still.

This makes me smile | Cambridgeshire Portrait Photographer

Just had to pop by and make a quick post. The girls and I had a day out with some of the mums form our village. All our kids are the same ages and go to the same school. We packed bats and balls, picnic rugs, drinks and picnics and made our way to Riverside Park.

The kids all got on so well, and I off course had my camera with me!

and this photo above, just cracks me up!

 

After all the riots and awful stories I am hearing on the news these past few days, its so nice to enjoy a day out like the good olde days, and capture it with a photo; makes me smile

Alex Beadon Photography Workshop

I "met" Alex online, and the moment I saw her style of photography I was blown away. She actually made me think more about photographing adults! which is a big thing for me as I love to photograph little ones! The moment I ahd clicked on a link to Alex's website I immeditaley posted on her FB page and gushed about how much I loved her work.

Well yesterday I discovered that the talented and very beautiful Alex is teaching 2 workshops this month!

The first is on August 14th and is a creative photo shoot and learning about the creative side of photography.

and the second is August 21st and is about social media and branding.

I want to attend both LOL, but the creative workshop is right up my street as its Alex's creative styled shoots that I love so much.

Now the reason for this post is not just to gush about how wonderful I think Alex Beadon is but to let you know she is giving away a spot on her August 14th workshop!!!

Black Beauty | Cambridgeshire Lifestyle Photographer

On our way home from Nana's we saw a field with this beautiful black beauty and 2 young foals; we just had to pull over and say hello.

This horse didnt look too well, but I am no horse expect so maybe the dried markes near his /her eyes are OK but I wasnt too sure. Lilly was a little aprehensive at first, but Izzy was totaly smitten.

Meeting with togs

Sunday I met up with 4 fellow photographers, first time meeting these inspiring ladies for me and a first doing anything like this tbh. I am a little in awe of Ria's beautiful wedding photography and was feeling slightly nervous meeting her, no need as she is so down to earth and adirable as were Debbie, Tamara and Angel. We met at CB2 in Cambridge, all with 1 thing in common, to build a successful business with the help of Dane Sanders Fast Track series. With our pDNA's in hand we set about discussing varies sections of our tests and then headed out for a photo shoot down by the river. My talented and inspiring friends are, from left to right ,

Face of 2011

This is an in joke by the way, with Peter and I. A few years ago I took a portrait of Peter in a polo neck jumper and he look "phwoar". We called it the "face of 2003", this is one of those photos, LOL.

It was taken at the weekend in Pizza Express, which is now going to be my perfect location for portraits, lol, the lighting is gorgeous there, well where we sat anyways.

 

So here he is, my "face of 2011"

Messing about on the River | Cambridgeshire Lifestyle Photographer

There's nothing as good as a day spent down by the river; afternoon sun beating down on you, sound of boats chugging along the river, and enjoying a glass of rose and homebaked breadsticks dipped in Balsamic vinegar on the river bank.

This is how we have spent out last 2 Sundays thanks to a friend of ours who has recently bought a small boat.

The girls are loving the river lifestyle and cant get enough of taking the boat for gentle river ride.

The problem now is, where can we get a million pounds so that I can live in one of the gorgeous houses alongside the river bank with a private mooring!!!

I know its a long shot, LOL , and a distant dream, but hey a girl can always dream!

As you can see the girls are in their element and the ducks too, we are now buying bread just for the ducks!!

Don't you just love these photo frames? I just got these from Paint the Moon, love Annies photographers tools!
